Live 8: Global Concerts to Wipe Out Poverty

This Saturday, July 2nd, heralds the grandest spiritual event the world has yet seen: Live 8, a collective prayer through our common tongue, music.

The brainchild of Bob Geldof, who created Live Aid 20 years ago, Live 8 is the symbolic journey of millions of people worldwide to end poverty in Africa. It takes its name from the impending G8 Summit July 6-9th in Scotland, a meeting of the eight most powerful global leaders representing the USA, Canada, Great Britain, Germany, France, Italy, Japan and Russia.

The event will reach a potential 5.5 billion people--85% of the world's population--via television, webcast and other media. You're invited to join your sisters and brothers around the globe on July 2nd for engaged social activism, a celebratory event that is the hallmark of the visionary collective action that's beginning to happen everywhere, now.

Help anchor the passion and heal the planet! For complete info, go to Live 8

Midsummer Magic

These very cool Solstice clearing rituals are courtesy of Steve Nelson, e-mail:

Snakes are said to shed their skins at Midsummer.
Shadow stuff comes up for clearing now, this is how:

* Clockwise movement or whirling to clear psychic cobwebs, strengthen connection between divine spirit and heart of the world.
* Focusing on the light over your head, your soul star, while breathing deeply and visualizing a wish, dream, ideal.
* Stretching with extended breath to release stuck physical energy and clear psychic channels.
* Free form dancing, surrendering to spirit (after clockwise turning).
* Swimming, full body immersion in water for emotional clearing.
* Leaping a fire or candle flame while bringing to mind what needs to be let go.

* Whatever needs to be released from self or society comes up each year at Summer Solstice/Midsummer, and in the noon hour each day.
* Country people favor this time (June 21-25) for weeding gardens, as this is when vital energy is most up and out of the roots.
* Midsummer is also the best time for "weeding" undesirable psychic patterns, as little energy remains in our subconscious roots.
* Bad habits can more easily be eliminated and emotional attachments more readily broken at this turning time of the year.
* All that's needed for releasing is simple circular movement, clockwise turning and fire leaping.

Steve reminds us that if we haven't yet done a Solstice dance or fire leaping ritual, the two weeks following Solstice are an especially powerful window. So we've got until July 4th to dance the fire in our own unique way...and then we'll be ready for the fireworks (for Independence Day, in the US).

The Wisdom of Energy Upgrades

We've entered a new realm of light, according to Karen Bishop, who brings through timely energy alerts called What's Up On Planet Earth. Here's an excerpt from the latest one:

"When we drop density, we are dropping 'issues' or what I refer to as 'misperceptions' of who we thought we were and what we thought was real. And in that way, we now interact differently because we are no longer relating through a veil of darkness and density. We are seeing and experiencing who we REALLY are and can now simply just enjoy each other's company as brothers and sisters of light.
"In the higher realms our geographical locations affect us greatly as well. When we arrive at our new destinations of the New World, we are totally in alignment with that particular energy on Earth, and this is when our real work and joy begins. All the dots have lined up. This is part of the process. We totally integrate and become one with our particular place on Earth, and it is glorious! And does it feel like Home!"

How are you co-creating your own miraculous now? I look forward to hearing from you...

From Cranky to Cranked Up

We knew this year would be a flume ride, but thankfully, we're about to surf the waves for awhile instead of continuing to get slam-dunked. Astrologer Mark Krueger, who has a whimsical way with words, says that as of this week, "The trudge through the sludge is lifting. You can get on with your life in a more direct way. The world will respond more in alignment with you now. Easy going if you please.

"Plan and act now. Be intentional and serendipity comes your way. Snuggle rather than struggle. Giggle with the gaggles. Hop on Pop. Skip to your new my darlin'. Goodness gracious glory be."

Colleen Marshall, of Planetary Activation Organization, reminds us that the changes we're experiencing are affecting all life forms on Earth, including our pets. She counsels:

"This new state of being requires that we physically, mentally and emotionally let go of third dimensional concepts. The progression through changes compels us to release relationships, jobs, careers, homes, possessions and so on, if they are unable to support our new way of being. Is it any wonder that there is a great deal of anxiety and fear being felt because these changes are already in progress, even though most people are not conscious of it?"

Here's the latest summary of what to expect, or what you (or your cat or dog) may already be living into physiologically:

* Flu-like symptoms: high temperatures, sweating, aching bones and joints, etc.
* Severe or migraine headaches.
* Occasional diarrhea.
* Occasional runny nose, with sneezing which lasts 24 hours and is not a cold or hayfever.
* Dizziness, ringing in the ears.
* Heart palpitations.
* Whole body vibration - especially at night, when you're relaxed.
* Intense muscle spasms - plus pain in the body, often the back.
* Tingling in arms, hands, legs or feet.
* Loss of muscular power in your hands, caused by changes in circulation.
* Occasional breathing difficulties - and/or stronger or louder breathing when relaxed.
* Feeling tired - or exhausted from minor exertion.
* Wanting to sleep - longer and more often than normal.
* Toe nails and hair growing quicker than normal.
* Bouts of depression for no real reason.

And finally, you may delve into the past and examine relationships, gaining new clarity on personal issues and feeling a huge purge of tension, along with anxiety and high stress levels.

If you're feeling panicked and want to rush off to your health practitioner, be aware that they're likely to find nothing "wrong" with you. Marshall's RECOMMENDED RELIEF REMEDIES for the above are what a good holistic healer would suggest as well:

* Go with the flow, don't fight it.
* If you feel tired or exhausted, rest and get plenty of sleep.
* Drink lots of water as you are detoxifying and dehydrating quicker than usual.
* To relieve emotional tension and stress levels try valerian.
* Fenugreek relieves stress on the lymphatic system and helps the detoxification.
* To relieve muscle spasm try mud baths or a long, hot soak in a bath to which you add a cup of Epsom salts or sea salt. Do this daily.
* Apple cider vinegar baths aid emotional detoxification.

"Recognize that heart palpitations or breathing difficulties are the heart chakra or throat chakra unblocking, and these symptoms are temporary. You aren't dying, just changing! However, seek medical guidance if you are unsure. If you don't know where to buy valerian or fenugreek, try a health food store or better still, simply say the name in your head when you need relief. All healing energies are transmitted via the sound of the name and are just as effective said in the mind or aloud, as in physically taking them. Try it and see. Ask your angel guides to help relieve any pain. They are just waiting to be asked! Most symptoms seem to last a couple of weeks, then clear up. Some symptoms may recur from time to time.

"These changes are not necessarily being experienced by everyone concurrently. A very small percentage of adults have already completed the entire change into crystalline form and now embody 1,024 strands of DNA. One report is of a woman who has grown 3 inches taller and a foot size larger. All children under the age of seven have also now completed the change, or will shortly do so. Babies born in the past two years have all been born with the full set of DNA."

In Tune With the Moon, and The Star That You Are

I've been following a "natural time" calendar based on earth cycles for a decade now. This modern-day evolution of the 260-day Mayan Calendar known as the Tzol'kin, coupled with an ancient lunar calendar used throughout the world for millennia, has been a grand adventure in attuning to my inner rhythms—and an inspiration to live more instinctually every day.

Li Walter, who's devised her own calendar rooted in both traditions, reminds us that we're now in the Moon of Integration, in which our question is, "How can I dedicate myself to all that lives?" Read one way to integrate this cosmology into your daily life, in my article, Embracing Paradox Can Help You Beat the Clock.

Li counsels, "It's time to integrate what we've experienced and learned on our journey through the year (since last July 26th). This is a time to gather and meet in community, to acknowledge what has been, and look toward the year to come. The new year that begins July 26, 2005 will be a 13 Seed in the Human wave year, a year of becoming the seeds of human freedom.

"Since this has been a 12 Storm Year, a stormy year in which we've been engaged in learning to live in the process of continual creative transformation, this Moon 12 of Integration is all the more important as we now have the opportunity to crystallize into a new, more complex form."

Li's words will begin to make a lot more sense once you begin to live in multidimensional time. Check out her calendar and planetary essences at Keeping Time. And get ready to plant some extraordinary seeds for the new, natural time year, on July 26th.
