Live 8: Global Concerts to Wipe Out Poverty

This Saturday, July 2nd, heralds the grandest spiritual event the world has yet seen: Live 8, a collective prayer through our common tongue, music.

The brainchild of Bob Geldof, who created Live Aid 20 years ago, Live 8 is the symbolic journey of millions of people worldwide to end poverty in Africa. It takes its name from the impending G8 Summit July 6-9th in Scotland, a meeting of the eight most powerful global leaders representing the USA, Canada, Great Britain, Germany, France, Italy, Japan and Russia.

The event will reach a potential 5.5 billion people--85% of the world's population--via television, webcast and other media. You're invited to join your sisters and brothers around the globe on July 2nd for engaged social activism, a celebratory event that is the hallmark of the visionary collective action that's beginning to happen everywhere, now.

Help anchor the passion and heal the planet! For complete info, go to Live 8
