Ultimate Initiation

Astronomers may think they've downgraded Pluto from the role of planet to some celestial orb of lesser significance, but they can't minimize this distant star's powerhouse effect on humanity. As the year draws to a close with Pluto conjunct the Galactic Center, we're experiencing the initiation of our lives: into Creation, Creativity, Love and Death, all Plutonic energies—but nothing like we've ever imagined, at this degree of intensity!

Astrologer Allison Rae paints vivid possible scenarios in her latest edition of Cosmic Time. As we prepare to enter a "9" year (2007 = 2+0+0+7 = 9), which is all about release and completion, she says, "It's showtime. The (Pluto) passage will be marked by massive upheaval of our thoughts and belief systems, the geophysical, geopolitical, economic and social structures of lives."

The last time Pluto passed over the Galactic Center (248 years ago), it ignited the Industrial Revolution. This time, the revolution will be a revelation: Truth is front and center, comfort zones will be stretched beyond recognition, growth is the watchword, and "resistance is futile," as the Borg used to intone on Star Trek: The Next Generation. Ready or not, the shift is happening.

I know I'm certainly vibrating to the changes in 3D. My heart's been pitter-pattering in double time, especially when I try to sleep. Allison says, "You might feel a general sense of urgency, perhaps anxiety, depression, grief or even panic. Physical symptoms include nausea, racing heart, respiratory problems, dizzyness, lightheadedness, changes in sleep and eating patterns.

"Feelings and emotions that have been 'stuffed' for decades, even lifetimes, are surfacing for final clearing. You've probably already noticed people are beginning to pop as repressed emotion comes raging to the surface.

"Holding on, trying to control situations and people will only aggravate the symptoms. Allow the intense energies to move through your body with lots of physical exercise and creative activities. Hike, walk and run on the Earth. Swim. Try yoga, t'ai chi, qi gong, drumming, chanting and sound healing. Learn to play. Avoid caffeine and other stimulants. Relax and sink into the changes with daily meditation and deep, conscious breathing. Journaling is especially helpful for emotional processing and mental clarity."

Wild rides are always more fun when we buy our ticket willingly. We're all doing this together now, so even when you think it's just you and you're alone, you're in good (if wacked-out) company.

To Allison's very wise suggestions I would add, be as loving and generous with others as possible. The stress of trying to live "normally" while undergoing a Pluto transit is tremendous (I speak from personal experience in the mid-90s, when my entire life changed irrevocably as I was catapulted into my planetary purpose and service).

Since we have this extraordinary opportunity to love as never before, let's live/love it!

Thank you for this post. As someone who is currently experiencing a heavy Pluto transit to the natal planets, combined with the GC conjunction,it is very helpful.
