Whatever Possessed You?

Astrologer Allison Rae echoes the theme of my upcoming newsletter in her latest issue of Cosmic Time: "The next few years will be the most intense rollercoaster ride of our lives, and 2007 is a turning point. We have an opportunity to choose how we'll ride this wave, what to hold onto (precious little) and what to let go (more than we think). Vast cycles are ending. It's time for the new."

Years ago, on my own spiritual journey, these wise words came into my mind while I was out walking one night: "You need less than you think. And you have more than you know." Say this affirmation to yourself several times; you will find it comforting.

The June issue of What Shines focuses on the many guises of possession, and how we can begin to bridge seeming cultural/religious chasms through exploring the mythic quality of our common ancestral Abrahamic story.

What Those Allergies Really Are

For those of us in the northern hemisphere, it's Spring: a time of hayfever and other allergic reactions for many. While I've never had any problem with the outdoors, I am rather sensitive to indoor pollution: typically, chemicals that "off-gas" from new construction or a recent remodel. Knowing this, I nevertheless chose to move into a 5-months-new studio two weeks ago, and have now joined the ranks of the seasonally congested and sneezing (the cottage is also situated near many vineyards, so there is a lot of pesticide spray in the air and ground).

Amusingly, whenever I perceive something as discretely "my" issue, it turns out to be symbolic of a larger shift. As a planetary partner, I see myself (and the millions of others who deal with environmental sensitivities on a daily basis) as part of the advance guard for a planet in distress, which is being created and perpetuated by us.

Now Daniel Jacob, who channels The Reconnections, reports this reactivity is part of our awakening process.

"One of the most notable changes will be a tendency toward allergic reactions to foods, environmental essence, or other such substances in the environment. One physical result of these sensitivities will be increased water retention. At night, there may be surges of energy or a feeling of becoming spacey and 'diffuse.' Some will feel as though they are dying. These symptoms are all connected, and perfectly ordered within your growth process.

"The Oneself Body is, quite literally, turning to crystal. Your retention of water is the beginning of this transformation. Water is LIQUID CRYSTAL. During key times, the Higher Self will create a proper balance of electrical conduction so each person can get "previews" of the Grand Acceleration that will be signal the completion of your transformation. This is the Expanded Self allowing the ego to 'open your gifts' slowly and savor the experience."

I have also been in the process of shopping for two crystal bowls, something Bryan de Flores recommended in the recent Masters of the Universe Ambassador Training I attended. He says by using the bowls as mini banks, the elementals will multiply our money and enhance our overall sense of prosperity. After reading Daniel's transmission, I'm thinking maybe I'll fill one bowl with water, and the other with dollar bills, to facilitate the flow. As I've written before, all our money metaphors embrace water imagery: cash flow, liquid assets, reserves (reservoir), currency (currents).

Here's to your healthy awakening!

All In Good Time

For many years, I've felt time as being both elongated and compressed; that I was living decades in days, and, simultaneously, that moments would stretch out like possibility for aeons. I've known about the acceleration on Earth as we shift into the 5th dimensional frequency, but what's fascinating is this report from Archangel Michael through Celia Fenn, that says time isn't speeding up; it's actually slowing down.

Michael explains that by 2012, the year prophesied as the time of ascension, we will enter an era of "no time." He says we'll then "release the concept of linear time to enter into holographic or Cosmic time. In effect, there will be no time as you know it. Linear time is an artificial construct that creates a rhythm that is not in alignment with the Cosmic pulse. Now, as you move out of this artificial construct into 'no time', you are raising frequency to the point that linear time no longer exists for you. You live in a state of total immediacy, what we will call ultimate presence. Your rational mind is learning to perceive these changes as a gradual slowing of time."

What this also means is we're becoming magnificent instant manifesters. Michael adds, "As you align with the Cosmic pulse, you will also align more fully with your inner Light and Divinity, and your ability to create and manifest. And, since you are manifesting at an increased rate, it will appear as if time is speeding up."

Not surprisingly, and as I've logged here before, this dimensional shift can wreak havoc with our 3-D space suits, causing symptoms such as:
• anxiety
• depression
• exhaustion
• disorientation
• anger or displaced rage

The solution is still going with the flow. Drink lots of pure water, be in nature as often as possible (feet in the sand or Earth, lying on the land, holding trees, etc), sleep as much as you need to, move your body to release the pent up tension (exercise, dance, etc.)

As these new "Infinity Codes" integrate, it's one more step into quantum reality. Enjoy the ride...and remember to laugh often and love much!

Honey, We Shrunk the Bees!

Have you been hearing about the bees lately? Within one week, the planetary bee exodus was a subject of intense discussion between initiated Mayan shaman Martin Prechtel and Caroline Casey on her Visionary Activist radio program on KPFA; integral to a channeling from the Pleiadians through author Barbara Marciniak; an article in Our Toxic Times, a newsletter for the chemically injured—and a featured article on OpedNews.com.

Clearly, something's going on, and it ain't pretty. If the bees disappear, so does our food supply. Einstein himself calculated that human edibles would vanish within 4 years if bees cease to exist. Just a trifle concerning...

Why are they leaving? In a word, health. Or its obverse: toxicity. Bees, like all life forms other than humans, are aware bee-ings that respond to their environment with an instinctive sense of self-preservation. The Pleiadians say the Pleiades itself is known as "the beehive," and souls are referred to as "bees." In this context, souls will leave a world that no longer provides quality of life.

The bees are departing Earth because our present reality no longer sustains them. Cell phones disrupt their navigational radar; GMOs and other disharmony in nature threatens their ecosystem. According to the Pleiadians, the lack of human love and understanding of Nature is paramount; the greatest gift we can give the bees (and us!) is to "start bee-ing yourself: a maker and a carer of Nature."

That's direct from the extraterrestrials. A warning to restore our sense of balance, inner and outer, while we still have a memory of what this means.

For me, one of the simplest ways to re-member (make membership again) is to get into nature. Go to a park, go to the ocean, go to a forest; whatever is easiest and closest for you, and connect. Breathe the fragrant air, feel the earth or sand beneath your feet, commune with the trees, flowers, sky, birds, and yes, bees. You'll not only feel renewed, you'll actually be participating in a most essential Earth renewal.

Blessed Bee!

Sustainable = Impermanent

An intriguing concept has been reaching me through various channels in recent weeks, that ties directly into my life and writing as a New Nomad: in order to create a truly sustainable society, we need to start thinking in terms of non-durable goods. This doesn't mean more plastic, disposable products that only add to overburdened landfills. On the contrary, the meaning has more to do with creating flexible shelters and other resources that can be dismantled with ease after a short period of usefulness, and allowed to dissolve back into the Earth.

Sounds pretty strange to Western ears, I know. Yet this is the indigenous perspective — and native peoples certainly live a lot closer to Mama Gaia than most of us "civilized" folks do. In researching my book on living nomadically in modern times, I read John Perkins' The World Is As You Dream It, where I first came across this concept. Then today, I heard an almost identical philosophy from Mayan shaman Martin Prechtel, an ever-popular guest on Caroline Casey's Visionary Activist radio show.

He said, "Imagination has to be governed by love," and went into a lengthy explanation of the distinction between tribalism, community, and the village. In the village model, inhabitants ritually burn their structures to the ground annually, because by the time a year has elapsed, humans have become out of touch with the Earth and need to start over. The ritual destroys in order to restore consciousness.

It's quite fascinating, and also (although he did not specifically address it) speaks to the Eastern idea of non-attachment, since what we are attached to eventually becomes toxic. In this moment when Jupiter (planet of expansion and storytelling) squares Uranus (the zodiacal visionary), it's a potent time "for retelling, resifting, so that knowledge is never dogma, never stagnant, always moving," says Caroline.

I also loved how she redefined forgiveness: "to give energy to change," e.g.: "I forgive you; I give you the energy to shift!"

Honoring Truth, Creativity and the Earth

Today is Wesak, with a Full Scorpionic Moon, and some amazing opportunities for shapeshifting energies. Celia Fenn, who channels Archangel Michael, has some sage guidance for May. In a starbeam:

∞ Discern the difference between illusion and Truth
∞ Honor your creative essence and process
∞ Trust what is happening; do not fear predicted "cataclysmic" events. Know that what is happening is part of the plan for global evolution.

The entire channeling is extremely valuable and worth reading; I'm excerpting part of the segment on Creativity, since this dovetails precisely with what shamanic guide and author Sandra Ingerman just spoke about last week on Caroline Casey's Visionary Activist radio program. You can listen to the archived show on KPFA. You can also read a summary of the show's highlights in my May newsletter, What Shines.

Michael exhorts, "Many of you have lost connection with your creative energy and processes, as you judge your creations and say: 'It is bad! It needs to be destroyed!'. Now, this is because you do not honor yourself and your abilities. You are all creative, but you may say, for example, 'I cannot paint or make music or….'. But, of course you can! And the more you paint and dance and make music, the more you acquire the skills to enjoy the creative journey and the more your creative efforts will reflect the joy of who you are. You don't need to destroy every work so that you can make a better one. Rather, you will enjoy your past efforts as you move to skilled and more fluent creations. You will enjoy your past works and use them as the basis for new and more skilled works as you become more skilled, and as you grow and evolve.

"And so, we say, dearest Lightworkers, that you are all creative artists here on the planet! You are the artists of 'reality creation'. Stop, then, seeking to destroy your own creation. Know that you are growing in your creative skills, and it is good. Look at what you have created, and see the Beauty and Love reflected. And know that your ongoing creations will reflect ever more of that Love and Light, and you will awaken and become more skilled in your creative expression."

WEARTH

I saw this fabulous license plate today: WEARTH 4. It can be read at least two ways:

"We are Earth" (We Earth)
"Worth"

In either case, a highly healing message. Any other ideas?

The Dalai Lama on Creating Positive Change

I was blessed to be able to attend the 14th Dalai Lama's talk in San Francisco today, on Creating Positive Change. My first (and lasting) impression is: the man who wears this mantle embodies his message. He's warm, compassionate, holds a wide-ranging perspective—and is very humorous (which, as anyone who has ever delivered a talk in a non-native tongue knows, is not all that easy to get across in a foreign language—especially English!)

My May newsletter, What Shines, focuses on both personal and planetary peace, so the timing is ideal to integrate His Holiness' thoughts. Here are some highlights from the afternoon talk:

∞ Neither "positive" nor "negative" are absolutes; they vary according to our perception and experience. What brings us comfort, peace, happiness and satisfaction is seen as positive; fear, frustration, unhappiness and anger are viewed as negative.

Example: a homeless person may be happier mentally than someone of wealth who is living in fear and discomfort, because the homeless person has adapted to the situation and is able to feel happiness regardless. As a longtime nomad who's recently published a lengthy article about living nomadically as a spiritual mission, I completely related to what he was saying.

∞ We can learn to transform adversity into opportunity. There are two main tenets of the Dalai Lama's philosophy. The promotion of:

• right thinking/mental transformation
• religious harmony

Mental Transformation

To explain how cultivating mental happiness is far easier than trying to change outer conditions, the Dalai Lama used the analogy of covering the earth with leather to protect our soles as we walk, or covering our own feet (wearing shoes) to accomplish the same result.

∞ As certain emotions increase, other emotions reduce, simply because contradictory forces cannot occupy the same space. We cannot be both self-centered and isolated in fear, stress and anger — and affectionate, warm-hearted, and caring for others at the same time.

∞ Wholeheartedness develops from the mother-child bond; the affection that accrues with survival dependence.

∞ Compassion for others' suffering reduces our own physical pain. The Dalai Lama gave an example of a time a few years ago when he had an acute intestinal illness that was quite painful, and met with some very poor people who were in pain and suffering greatly. As he prayed for them and extended his compassion, he felt his own pain reduce.

** In terms of personal and planetary challenges/difficulties, we must confront without losing compassion, without losing respect. This opens the door to meaningful dialogue. **

Religious Harmony

His Holiness spoke of "secular ethics": taking a non-religious approach to our differences. I've quoted him in an article on the distinction between religion and spirituality.

But since religion is interwoven into so many of our lives, and the cause of much widespread fighting and unhappiness, he offered a visionary path to religious harmony:

In an explanation that brought down the house, he analogized choosing the "best" religion as similar to choosing the "best" medicine: for this person, this medicine is best; for this person over here, that medicine will work best. For himself, given his mental disposition, Buddhism is best. For someone else, Christianity is best. For another, the Jewish religion is best. For this person, the Muslim religion is best. Viewed this way, the Dalai Lama said, "There's no problem!"

Thus, peace begins first with the individual mind. Once we are peaceful, it pervades our home, and others who walk into the room can feel it. (I felt exactly this way recently, when I met with a woman who runs a retreat center and has been meditating and living as a retreatant for 30 years. Her home felt like a sanctuary; it was relaxing the moment I rang the doorbell.)

∞ As he spoke about having lived outside his homeland of Tibet for most of his life (now 72, he has been in exile since age 24), The Dalai Lama closed his talk with an endearing Tibetan saying, which translates as, "Wherever you are happy, that's your home. Whoever is kind to you, that's your parent."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
May we all become spiritual activists focused on creating positive, healing change, so that we are all at home everywhere!
Potent Manifestation Portal, May 1-6th
The first week in May augurs a rare alignment of celestial and terrestrial blessings. It's both the Wesak Full Moon (celebrating the birth, death and enlightenment of the Buddha) and Beltane, the cross-quarter holiday on the Wheel of the Year (Earth-based spirituality) that honors both personal blessings and the joy of community. In recent times we've watered it down to dancing 'round the Maypole, but the tradition (like most of them) goes far deeper.
Astrologer Allison Rae describes these synchronous influences evocatively in her latest issue of Cosmic Time. Get ready for the emotion (energy-in-motion) to release like a waterfall next week.
Allison wisely counsels, "Allow energy to flow from the ascended realms to illuminate and heal. Meditate. Pray. Bless. Uplift your thoughts in each moment. Create with intent. Offer your gifts in service to the Divine. Join with others to co-create and form community. Give. Release. And receive."
Blessed Be!
Earth Day Credo
With the Ascension Ambassadors Training still aswirl within me, I returned home to Aluna Joy Yaxk'in's latest newsletter, chock-full of the inspirational words of others to light a fire under us this Earth Day. The following pretty much sums up both my past week and what all of us are called to, now:
"There will come a day when you'll finally decide that you're ready to live up to your full potential. There will come a moment when you will no longer settle for less than you know you're capable of achieving. There will come a time when you'll no longer be satisfied with making excuses and rationalizations. There will come a time when your desire to move forward will outweigh your fear of the unknown. There will come a time when the search for empty pleasures will seem silly compared to the pursuit of real achievement. One day you'll realize that everything you do makes a difference, and you'll put that incredible power to valuable use. There is really no reason to put that golden day off any longer. There is every reason to go ahead and make it happen for you. You were born to do great things, to create much value, to make a real difference. The longing and frustration you feel is a constant reminder, so listen to what it has to say. Your life can be as full as you are ready to make it. Now is the day to make it great."
Aries in Action
With the New Moon in Aries (and my Moon in Aries) I've been feeling the tug to fast-forward my life in a really major way, the past week especially. Last Friday night, when I was randomly (I thought!) cruising accelerator artist Bryan de Flores' website, I noticed he was offering a Masters of the Universe Ambassador Training (is that an Aries-inspired title, or what?), this coming week for 3 days, and again in early May. Both events were sold out.
Fortunately, that's never stopped me before. I e-mailed him saying Spirit had directed me to contact him on the chance there might be a cancellation, as I felt strongly called to participate. The May 2-4 event would be best.
Well, Bryan e-mailed back Saturday morning saying, there was indeed a last-minute opening...for the training starting this Wednesday. I gleefully responded, "OK, I'm in!" I'll be on the road a bit later today...and will report in next week, after I've mastered how to be an even better player for the planet.
This is how the magic is moving now: we are in the flow, and it's a swift current. Sometimes it manifests as tragedy, like the horrific massacre in Virginia yesterday, not to mention the weekend of intense storms in New England. It's part of the Great Purification at this turning of the Ages, long prophesied by the Maya, the Hopi, and numerous other peoples with access to the ancient wisdom. The keynote is change, but what that "looks like" will be up to each of us.
My East Coast astrologer friend Judy Goldberg sent links to some other helpful Aries astro info, closing her e-mail with the incisive message, "Tuesday is kick-off day. The Universe is behind your actions. Get moving!"
May you dance yourself deLightedly into ever more expansive Divine expression, this New Moon and always...
Blessings!
Abbott & Costello - Revived
Thanks to Violette Ruffley for forwarding on this hilarious update on the old Abbott and Costello routine, "Who's On First?" Anyone who's just learning about technology or purchasing their first computer will no doubt laugh with recognition, as I did:
COSTELLO CALLS TO BUY A COMPUTER FROM ABBOTT
ABBOTT: Super Duper Computer Store. Can I help you?
COSTELLO: Thanks. I'm setting up an office in my den and I'm thinking about buying a computer.
ABBOTT: Mac?
ABBOTT: Your computer?
COSTELLO: I don't own a computer. I want to buy one.
ABBOTT: Mac?
COSTELLO: I told you, my name's Lou.
ABBOTT: What about Windows?
COSTELLO: Why? Will it get stuffy in here?
ABBOTT: Do you want a computer with Windows?
COSTELLO: I don't know. What will I see when I look at the windows?
ABBOTT: Wallpaper.
COSTELLO: Never mind the windows. I need a computer and software.
ABBOTT: Software for Windows?
COSTELLO: No. On the computer! I need something I can use to write proposals, track expenses and run my business. What do you have?
ABBOTT: Office.
COSTELLO: Yeah, for my office. Can you recommend anything?
ABBOTT: I just did.
COSTELLO: You just did what?
ABBOTT: Recommend something.
COSTELLO: You recommended something?
ABBOTT: Yes.
COSTELLO: For my office?
ABBOTT: Yes.
COSTELLO: What word?
ABBOTT: Word in Office.
COSTELLO: The only word in office is office.
ABBOTT: The Word in Office for Windows.
COSTELLO: Which word in office for Windows?
ABBOTT: The Word you get when you click the blue "W".
COSTELLO: I'm going to click your blue "w" if you don't start with some straight answers. What about financial bookkeeping? You have anything I can track my money with?
ABBOTT: Money.
COSTELLO: That's right. What do you have?
ABBOTT: Money.
COSTELLO: I need money to track my money?
ABBOTT: It comes bundled with your computer.
COSTELLO: Money comes with my computer?
ABBOTT: Yes. No extra charge.
COSTELLO: I get a bundle of money with my computer? How much?
ABBOTT: One copy.
COSTELLO: Isn't it illegal to copy money?
ABBOTT: Microsoft gave us a license to copy Money.
COSTELLO: They can give you a license to copy money?
ABBOTT: Why not? THEY OWN IT!
(A few days later)
ABBOTT: Super Duper Computer Store. Can I help you?
COSTELLO: How do I turn my computer off?
ABBOTT: Off? Click on "START".............
Cosmic Serenity
Listening to Caroline Casey's Visionary Activist Radio Show on KPFA Thursday afternoons is always revivifying, especially so when she duets with other astrological talent, as she did today with Dale "DocChiron" O'Brien.
An authority on planetary body Chiron (which holds a special spot in my heart since I was born with Chiron, often depicted as the archetypal wounded healer, conjunct my Sun), O'Brien was discussing the shifting Saturn and Uranus patterns now. Saturn, the planet of discipline, structure and status quo, turns direct on April 19th. Uranus is the wild child of the zodiac who heralds the eclectic and electric ~ and is also my ruling planet, as an Aquarian!
He suddenly said, "One way to look at Saturn, Uranus and Chiron in a soundbite is the Serenity Prayer:
'Accept the things I cannot change' ~ that's Saturn
'Courage to change the things I can' ~ that's Uranus
'The wisdom to know the difference' ~ that's Chiron."
How enLighening. I'll never hear the Serenity Prayer in quite the same way again...
Jupiterian Judgment: the Good, the Bad, the Wild!
As we celebrate both the Jewish Passover and Christian Easter, it's a potent time to evaluate where we want to be free and resurrected in our lives. Intuitive astrologer Tara Greene, whose wise and witty readings rain down from Canada to enliven my Spirit regularly, has an especially juicy jolt from Jupiter, now retrograding in its home sign of Sagittarius:
"Jupiter retro’s mambo for 4 months asks us to re-examine our loftiest goals, aims and spiritual desires. Are we shooting our arrows to the highest peaks, shooting our mouths off or shooting ourselves in the foot? Are we following our truth and understanding the dictates of the Spirit? Are we a tad too judgmental? Are we too breezy easy and optimistic?
Are we truly listening to spirit? Are we growing, expanding, taking risks? What do we gamble with too much? Where do we need to reign in our ever-expanding appetites for more? In our quest for learning, what are we truly learning? How is Justice serving us? Let’s look at politics—do our 'elected' politicians and world leaders serve our needs, or we theirs? Has the state of the world/your life got you wondering when the last time you felt truly optimistic was? Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and have some fun, take a break, go to Vegas or Niagara Falls for a coupla days. Eat what you want when you want it. Take up sports, get a new pet, take a course and learn a foreign language.
Learn to tango, plan an exotic adventure now, move it, groove it, get exhilarated with the chase, and by all means ride a horse, remember your animal nature. Everybody’s doin’ the brand new dance now! - The Trot - the dancercise craze of 2007! Trot it to the grocery store, trot it to the bank, trot it in the city streets, let your flanks quiver, polish your hooves, whinny, shake your glossy mane, and get galloping into this big adventure called your Life!"
A Poetic Perspective on Letting Go with Grace
What Shines subscriber Susan Schwartz shared a truly poetic response to the April newsletter, which focuses on stepping up to the transformational plate collectively, surrendering our minds to our hearts. May her words resound for you:
"You are broadcasting on galactic frequencies—
Tuning and focusing thoughts...
Just tonight, before I read your newsletter, I spent the
Evening with my mom
(the Passover Seder)
A story of rebirth, passage though narrow places.
We speak of young people 'coming of age'
But the truth is, we 'come of age' at many times in our lives.
Each stage a leaving behind of the old
And entering the new
When we are born
When our bodies leave childhood
When we leave home
Join another
Have children
Watch children leave
And, the most profound,
When we lose, almost completely
Who we once knew ourselves to be
And become unknown to ourselves
Free from the confines of our memories
The experience, knowledge that shaped our memories
And self perceptions
Free to create, re-design and imagine new stories
For ourselves
New places we’ve been and are
Every moment new
We lose one mind,
But find another – or others
A true coming of age
Entering a new era
Filled with possibility
Each one alive for a minute or a moment
Lost
And then, re-created again.
Thank you for
Your words, guidance and light.
It is, as always,
profound."
Steppin' Out in Faith
This was the title of the second newsletter I wrote, 'way back in June 2000, and the directive is just as true today: every time I relax into thinking I'm going to "settle in" for awhile, Spirit reminds me I'm on a nomadic path, and that requires walking on faith, always. Since I declared this truth out loud with my article, The New Nomads: Spiritual Sojourners with a Global Vision, I've been hearing some extraordinary and inspiring stories of how many of us are living on the edge of the New, creating a lifestyle that is at once avant-garde and ancient. People have always lived nomadically; what's unprecedented is the numbers of us who are choosing this path in planetary service.
But whether or not you're a New Nomad, we're all being called to step out in tremendous faith, as Pluto is doing a slow, deliberate dance of deliverance on the entire earth body's inhabitants. It's only humans who are challenged to adapt.
The following wisdom from astrologer Stephanie Austin may be helpful:
"As Pluto moves retrograde (until September 7), we are called to examine every area of our life and to eliminate what is not in alignment with our soul intentions. The cosmic message to check our spiritual compass is amplified by Jupiter's approaching station retrograde on April 5th. Jupiter stations at 20Âş Sagittarius and moves retrograde until August 6th, prodding us to question our assumptions, review our options, and get back on track if we have taken a detour.
"On Monday, April 2nd, a Full Moon peaks at 10:15 AM PDT at 13Âş Aries-Libra. The cosmic keynote for this Full Moon is courage. It takes courage to grow, to face the unknown. It takes willpower to overcome the pull of the past. It takes resolve to endure discomfort or disapproval. Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, the energy of initiation, of breaking new ground and birthing new forms. It is also the first fire sign, and fire requires continuous fuel. Creation never ceases. Nature abhors a vacuum. God dislikes boredom. As creators, we too perpetually encounter new edges, new frontiers. This Full Moon illuminates that we are facing a new challenge, and reminds us that as we grow, relationships that honor and support authenticity can grow also.
"During the Full Moon, the Sun at 13° Aries makes a wide trine to Saturn at 18° Leo (exact trine on April 8th) and also to Jupiter at 20° Sagittarius (exact trine on April 9th). This forms a Grand Trine in Fire, a high energy time which remains in effect for the first two weeks of April. Much can be accomplished with a minimum of resistance, as Jupiter in Sagittarius boosts optimism, Saturn in Leo urges us to follow our hearts, and the Sun in Aries nudges us to take action.
"In essence, all these alignments say: 'Take the first step in faith. You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.' ~ Martin Luther King."
The Grass is Always Greener Under the Power of Intention
Peace troubadour James Twyman is calling it the Miracle on the White House lawn. During a peace ceremony commemorating the Season for Non-Violence in Washington, D.C. last Sunday, the "Children's Cloth of Many Colors" was gently laid on the grass in the form of a peace sign, for about 15 minutes.
The next day, the grass where the cloth had lain was longer and greener than the rest of the lawn, in the shape of a gigantic peace sign!
James says, "I believe that this miracle was caused by two factors. First of all, there were hundreds of thousands of people focusing on the Capitol ceremony while it was taking place. At one point we actually held hands around the peace sign and called upon the energy of all those people from around the world, feeling their presence around the quilt with us. The intent of so many people can be a powerful energetic force and seems to have catalyzed a change in the actual earth, causing the grass to grow greener and longer overnight.
"Second, I believe that in some way and for some reason the earth is literally giving us a sign. This is a critical point in the history of the world. If we don't begin turning our thoughts and actions toward peace, for both humanity and the environment, a deep crisis may be around the corner. For me the peace sign on the lawn of the US Capitol is both a warning and a symbol of hope. I'm hoping we'll listen and begin working for peace."
The Energy of Partnership, Local and Global
We're living in a time where our thoughts and desires can instantly manifest, if we allow this to be our reality. All the lightkeepers whom I reference in these postings say this, yet I find that in my own life, manifestation is most effortless and instantaneous when I simply have the thought, with no attachment whatsoever to outcome. Then, whether it's something simple and small or simple and huge, realization is easy. Of course, this faith-full relaxed approach, the not-doing, is generally my/our greatest challenge!
Here's a small example: over the weekend, I was writing my April e-newsletter, What Shines. After drafting the main article, I wondered what to include for the follow-through section, called "Shine On." Knowing something appropriate would arrive, I went to a local park, and soon bumped into an acquaintance who gives talks and workshops focused on feminine spirituality. She invited me to walk with her.
Anne shared how she was in a deep depression after a recent presentation. Her story dovetailed precisely with the subject of my newsletter, and, as we co-created a healing outcome, she said lightheartedly before driving away, "Well, shine on!" She has never read the newsletter ~ but you'll need to, to discover the amazing synchronicities and blessings of this encounter. And yes, her story became the Shine On segment.
On a grander scale, South Africa's Celia Fenn writes that as part of her commitment to New Earth energies, she will be traveling to the Netherlands in April to "hold workshops in partnership with Jhadten Jewall from Canada, Dionne Hogen from the Netherlands and Ian Henderson, who lives in Holland and is originally from the UK. We will work with ascension, transformation, global networking energies, twin flame unions and the cetacean/human partnership."
This sounded so major to me I wondered why I wasn't traveling globally as well, until I remembered that it's the thought behind any action that matters. Celia says, "For all of us, the challenge now is to really 'walk our talk' and make the shift into New Earth consciousness. We need to take our power and remember who we are. We are powerful creators and it is time to co-create with Spirit, the world that we have dreamed and desired.
"As Archangel Michael (whom she channels) keeps saying, it is a choice, and a choice we will still need to make every day in this period. We can choose to be in the lower dimensions of fear and chaos, or we can choose to be in the higher dimensions of love and peace. It is always our choice. It takes great courage and strength to make the choice for peace and love, even when those around you make other choices. Remember, we are still living between two worlds, and will do so for a while. It is up to us to keep 'tuning' our energy to the New Earth, and not to get caught up in the dramas of the old."
Skidding Among the Stars
Astrologer Tara Greene calls our March celestial madness cosmic lemonade, and promises today and tomorrow will be brighter than the past weeks have felt (boy, have I felt it! Not a decent night's sleep since about 3/13...). Watch out for a backlash on Sunday, though. It's all Pluto plunging the depths to clear us out for the new ~ not to mention a couple of potent eclipses in the mix, and planets with opposite energies pulling on us simultaneously. It's enough to make anyone opt for a different orbit!
Here's a summary of Tara's current wisdom:
Sat. March 24th - Moon trines Neptune at 2:02 pm EDT - This is lovely lovely lovely. Meditate, soothe your over-wired brain. Take a nap in the afternoon and have powerful dreams and inspirations. Most great inventions came to Einstein, Singer, etc. in dreams and reveries—waking dreams! Paint a picture, write poetry, go to a poetry rave. see a play. Emotions may be in the head and airy here but coming from a higher level of Piscean bliss.
Sun. March 25 - Moon opposes Pluto at 3:57 am EDT - This is always a dangerous aspect. The tsunami in Indonesia and the World Trade Center bombings both occurred under this lunation. This one may be especially potent at the Galactic Center. Fierce storms and high winds, tornadoes, etc., will make the news. Airline crashes also likely; late night arguments that seem to pull you into a black hole. We may feel that all our thinking and consciousness will eventually be sucked down into that huge cosmic toilet bowl called The Void. Can be depressing, but the only cure is to go into the black hole. The tricky part is getting out. But if you dare to do it, there are huge rewards as long as you go as a humanitarian explorer, leaving your ego on the doorstep of the event horizon.
Another form of Ascension
As we enter the Equinoctial gateway, we may feel like flying into freedom after a long winter...and Myth*ing Links creator Kathleen Jenks, PhD, offers an intriguing portal to do so. I love her site; it's chock-full of mythological lore and sacred traditions from her decades as a core faculty member in the Mythological Studies Department of Pacifica Graduate Institute (home of the libraries & archives of Joseph Campbell, Marija Gimbutas, & James Hillman).
Enjoy her story of teaching herself to fly ~ and discovering long afterwards that she had tapped into an ancient Navajo knowing about "rapid transit rainbows." And celebrate the rebirth of the Light. It's going to be a season of incredible, impeccable possibility!
