A Wealth of Wonder And Awakening

It's a new Moon in Virgo, with powerful energies streaming to Earth through the Sirius Stargate that opened in August. Archangel Michael says You are the Bridge, a thrilling acknowledgment that, at last, legions of Earth's inhabitants are awakening to who they (you) truly are.

Prepare for more of those "intense periods of emotional energy clearing that will manifest as depression, anger, physical illness and general feelings of exhaustion and malaise as your bodies once again detoxify and balance." Hm, not fun. But, part of the purge of the lower frequencies--just as Katrina and last December's earthquake/tsunami are.

Michael's counsel for the best ways to ride these galactic energy waves is the same wisdom that always applies for healing and clearing:

* Simplify your diet
* Drink lots of pure water to assist the detoxification process
* Exercise!
* Fresh air (this means actually going outside, away from your computer)
* Rest!
* Letting go.

Michael reminds us, "Many of you experience these energies as difficult, because you struggle to hold your balance. Many of you are also releasing lifetimes of negativity and fear, and you feel as if you may never move beyond the struggles and the discomfort and the loneliness of this process. We want you to know that the easiest way to integrate these energies and to hold your balance is to seek your joy in complete trust that it will be given to you."

Find and follow your bliss through creative expression, and through sharing love and intimacy and support with your Soul family. Remember, "ultimately, all on the planet are family. You are ascending as One Earth and One Family, and it is your Joy now to assist each other across that Bridge into the New Reality called New Earth."

Taking New Orleans By Storm

Although it's been decades since I've listened to Led Zeppelin, for the past several days the song "When the Levee Breaks" has been ringing in my head. Clearly, this year is about surrendering to the power of Nature, and especially, about honoring the water element. Water relates to emotion, to our inner life, and brings cleansing and renewal. We've entered the Age of Aquarius, the Water Bearer.

Yet most of us resist looking within until forced, either by external or internal circumstances, to let go of illusory control and make that crucial journey.

Gaia herself has been telling us, through our language, what we need to know now. Last December 26th, the Earth quaked. Now, the inimitable Gulf city where jazz reigned supreme has been engulfed. We can no longer expend energy focusing on the party (Democrat, Republican, or Bourbon Street). Like the Indonesian tsunami, this is a direct hit. We're being called to the core.

In the eye of a hurricane, all is still. Can we make room in our hearts, minds and Palm Pilots for this kind of exploration? There will be no rebirth until we do.

The London-based Guardian Unlimited writes, From the Ruins, An Opportunity for Rebirth. We've just entered the 8th month in the Chinese Year of the Phoenix, a legendary bird symbolic of transformation and regeneration. It's a global opportunity to rise from the alchemical ashes and birth something new. But we must choose it, choose it, choose it--or lose it...

In January, I discussed the spiritual causes and effects of the Asian earthquake and tsunami in my e-newsletter, What Shines. That article is online, here: Watershed. What an observer close to Ground Zero said then applies equally well to Katrina's devastation, because these messages are all pieces of the same planetary puzzle:

"Chennai is considered the spiritual and intellectual capital of India. Every moment of the day there are prayers going on in some place or other. Yet all the prayers failed to appease the fury of Nature. By striking at the very citadel of spirituality, the foundations of faith itself have been shaken. And it has to be a global effort to rebuild this faith--piece by piece. It is going to be an arduous task...but when we are through, the Spirit of the entire human race will have become INVINCIBLE. Congressman Dennis Kucinich, who should be in the White House now, expresses with his usual insight and eloquence what the real weapons of mass destruction are: indifference, and prioritizing corporate interests over the common good. The president's desultory attitude towards national emergencies seems to suggest that his soul has been co-opted by what novelist Philip Pullman calls "the Specters of Indifference." In the ingenious trilogy, His Dark Materials, Pullman's Specters devour people's souls as soon as they reach puberty--the age when passion (and compassion) become more important than self-centered child's play. After a Specter absorbs an adult's soul, the person becomes a walking zombie, observing even catastrophe with "perfect indifference."

Sound like anyone we know?

We're experts at taking a town (or a country) by storm. Domination and destruction breed more of the same, as Gaia is trying to show us. It's time to stop the madness, heal from the Dominator virus, and come home to ourselves, on every level. We do need to be engulfed--by unconditional love, which millions across the US and around the world have been demonstrating by opening their hearts, homes and wallets to Katrina survivors. As they did after the tsunami. As they did after 9-1-1.

The way out is always in, and through. Poet David Whyte, one of my favorite visionary voices for these times, has a potent piece applicable to now. As you assimilate it, ask yourself, "How can I begin to make the journey home to my true self?"

The Wisdom of Eros: Antidote to War

Humming In Tune With the Higher Vibrations

This month's heralded a humdinger of an energy shift, and even knowing we're in the midst of it, riding the waves can leave you exhausted. Spiritual chronicler Karen Bishop, always on the edge of the Now, offers a balancing perspective on the Ascension Leap of Mid-August, aptly describing our realignment process as "internal tsunamis."

One point really resonated with me. I've been housesitting in Berkeley since mid-July, and feel like I'm being driven insane by the noise, dirt, and chaos of the city after so many years in serene, rural environments. The "me" who lived happily in San Francisco in the 1980s and early '90s has undergone a radical shift, and is no longer harmonic with these denser energies. Karen writes:

"For sensitives, these mismatches can be challenging. Mismatched vibrations can leave one in a state of short circuitry, with great knots and gagging in your stomach, with a tenseness and tightness which does not support the natural flow of source energy, and with an acute feeling that you do not belong anywhere. The old lower vibrating energies and ways can really make one feel ill. And it can be difficult as well to say 'YES!' to anything, as it seems that all presented to you and in your environment requires a 'NO!.'"

Yes, Karen, it's how I've felt exactly!

However, she reminds us that in the higher realms, all is perfect and this is simply part of the evolutionary process; that even apparent polarity or darkness "only exists to support us in summoning something different." And I know how deeply true this is; how many, many times the people and situations that have seemed to be my greatest nemesis have turned out to be great gifts in disguise, facilitating my own growth.

So have faith, dear fellow travelers. Allow the cleansing process to continue, be very kind to yourself, and know that you've chosen to be part of this amazing journey into the New, now. In your deepest being, trust what you know, and flow with it to the best of your ability. Hum yourself into the higher vibrations, and know you're tuning up and tuning in to the Music of the Spheres.

8:8 Update -- How Ascension Affects Your Health

We're in the midst of the most powerful planetary upgrade since 2001, according to Archangel Michael through Celia Fenn. It's a highly creative time, when the "Solar Feminine" energy blends the fire of the sacral chakra with the love of the heart chakra.

But it is a major clearing. Here are the symptoms you may experience as you integrate these powerful energies:

* Dizziness and Spaciness, as your Higher Chakras are activated by the powerful Higher Energies. Also some shakiness as the energies move into the entire system and put pressure on the meridians as they integrate.

Of Soul Mates, Sapphire Children and Royalty

August has always been a key month for me, a time of amazing possibility. Probably it's that fiery Leonine energy. In 2005, the Lion's Gate ushered in with the heliacal rise of Sirius (see July 13th entry, "R U Sirius?") brings astonishing gifts:

Archangel Michael, channeled through Celia Fenn, says the period from the New Moon on August 4th through the Full Moon on August 19th will be the most intense for opening to these new energies streaming in from the Galactic Center — and it will also be challenging to maintain our perspective as the frequency continues to accelerate. Focus. Focus. Focus. And remember to radiate the Love that you are.

I'm personally excited that this cycle also ushers in a two-year window to undergo an "Initiation of the Soulmate Union." Since I've been consciously calling my soul mate since 1998, I am elated to think we might at last connect on the 3-D plane! Archangel Michael explains, "In ancient Egypt, this advanced auric configuration was held by the Pharaoh and his family, and its code names were 'the Blue Nile' and 'the White Nile'. These represented the Fifth Dimension (blue) and the Ninth Dimension (white). It was the function of the Royal family and especially the Pharaoh, to hold the balance between these two levels in order to ensure abundance, prosperity and peaceful balance in Egypt.

"The Sapphire children are the 'Royal' children of the Planet. They will be serving the same function as the Pharaohs of the past. But, they will be your children...and they will teach you that you are all Royalty. You are powerful and wonderful Beings of Light and Love. What Will You Harvest at Lammas?

August 1-2 marks the mid-point between summer and fall. Known as Lammas, or Lughnasadh (LOO-ne-sah), it's one of the 8 "Cross Quarter Days" on the Wheel of the Year (the others are the Summer and Winter Solstices, Spring and Fall Equinoxes, Candlemas (Feb. 2), Beltane (May 1) and Hallomas/Samhain (October 31). Lammas is a celebration of abundance, the harvest time, and a potent moment to bring ourselves back into alignment with the natural world.

An evocative description of this turning comes from a comprehensive mythology site with the delightful double-entendre title, Myth*ing Links, an annotated and illustrated collection of worldwide links to mythologies, fairytales and folklore, sacred arts and sacred traditions, loving compiled and updated by Kathleen Jenks, PhD:

"Lammas...is a hot, lazy, delicious time of the year. Bees buzz in the heat of the day, the air is still, and the force of the sun remains strong, even though its sway over the earth is slowly diminishing day by day. In the cooler nighttime, frogs and crickets keep us company. It is here, in the gloaming, when so many rituals begin...

"This is when the powerful gods of the grain harvests are honored. They are in their prime, sometimes generous, sometimes quixotic, and always aware with a bittersweet pleasure that their time will wane, as it always does, and they will die, as they always do, and yet nevertheless they will return to another delicious summer next year, as they always do, and have, and will, for this is the endlessly circling Wheel of the Year, and they ride it proudly.

"Yet there is a darker nuance, one that surprised me, for I had thought that this was a purely masculine god's festival. I learned however of Lugh's touching and loving devotion to his foster-mother, the royal Tailtiu, whose fate may be even more intimately woven into this season than his..."

Jenks quotes Parabola magazine author Mara Freeman on the further genesis of Lammas:

"...Lugh dedicated this festival to his foster-mother, Tailtiu, the last queen of the Fir Bolg, who died from exhaustion after clearing a great forest so that the land could be cultivated. When the men of Ireland gathered at her death-bed, she told them to hold funeral games in her honor. As long as they were held, she prophesied Ireland would not be without song. Tailtiu’s name is from Old Celtic Talantiu, 'The Great One of the Earth,' suggesting she may originally have been a personification of the land itself, like so many Irish goddesses. In fact, Lughnasadh has an older name, Brón Trogain, which refers to the painful labor of childbirth. For at this time of year, the earth gives birth to her first fruits so that her children might live..."

What needs to "die" so that the new can be born in your life?

Canadian tarot reader and astrologer Tara Greene says that Lugh's festival points Southwest, and resonates to the element Air. "Southwest represents the Place of Healing, of the Dreamer and the Dream. It is the place of both your Personal Dream and the Sacred Dream of the Planet. What is your Personal Dream? With Saturn in Leo, the personal and practical dream must be ruled by the heart not the ego. What is your Sacred Dream? The Sacred Dream is your Highest Spiritual Dream."

This August 1st, especially if you've never honored Lammas before, join with me in remembering your relationship with the Earth and her cycles. Give thanks for the abundance of beauty, harmony, peace, love, healing, grace and balance you are inviting into your life and into the collective, and imagine your Sacred Dream into reality.

The quintessential song for invoking Gaia's healing Sacred Dream came through John Lennon. I must admit that feeling deeply into these words now, there is a cellular resonance I've never been conscious of before, although I've heard the song hundreds of times:

It's New Year's Day, according to the Mayan Sacred Calendar. This year's "energy signature" is Yellow Cosmic Seed, guided by the Star. The affirmation sounds like this:

I endure in order to target
Transcending awareness
I seal the input of flowering
With the cosmic tone of presence
I am guided by the power of elegance!

My interpretation: pay attention to what Spirit's asking you to walk through (endure) in order to stay focused on your goal. Go beyond 3-D mind and be present with the celestial choir, which is helping to water the seeds you've planted so they can blossom. Allow grace (elegance) to guide you on your way.

R U Sirius? Hot Dog!

July 26th marks the annual heliacal rise of Sirius (meaning, with the Sun). This date heralds both the ancient Mayan and Egyptian New Year — for the latter, it also coincides with the flooding of the Nile, which Egyptians believed Sirius' rising caused.

Sirius has long been known as the "Dog Star". (Trivia: (1) Actor Keanu Reeves has a rock group called Dog Star, and (2) In the Harry Potter books, Sirius Black, an animagus who can shapeshift, transforms into a large black dog.) It wasn't until I happened upon Ellie Crystal's extensive metaphysical site, however, that I understood how the Dog Star also gave us the "dog days of summer":

Ancient Egyptians called Sirius the "Dog Star" because pictograms of the head of their god Osiris resembled a dog. In Egypt, Sirius shines for most of the summer, and since it's such a bright star, the Egyptians believed the additional light it radiated was responsible for the summer heat. This isn't true, of course, but the phrase "the dog days of summer" originates from this belief.

The Greeks named the star Sirius, which meant, "scorching or burning".

9-1-1 Deja Vu? Or an Opportunity for Global Growth?

Five days ago, the entire planet collaborated in the largest goodwill concerts ever: Live 8, a call to end African poverty. The concerts presaged the G8 Summit, a meeting of the world's eight top leaders in Scotland, taking place now.

So here's the backlash: terrorist bomb blasts in London's Tube (underground railway) this morning, with a death toll at 45 and rising, and hundreds more injured.

Yet today is also a Stargate, 7:7:7, a portal for personal and planetary ascension. Archangel Michael says that holding peace at the center without judgment of self or others is our greatest challenge now. This IS A Test!

Dear Ones,

We are six days from September 17th, a date heralded as being an opportunity for planetary initiation. An initiatory crisis, personal or global, catapults us out of our prior way of life in an instant, and demands a creative response born of trust in the process. Crisis actually means "turning point," as well as opportunity. So while this morning's air attacks on key U.S. "nerve centers" (the World Trade Center Towers and the Pentagon) surprise me only in terms of form, the actions themselves were, in a sense, predictable. It was only a matter of when. The time is NOW. The question is, how will we (the United States, and the world) respond?

I believe it was Einstein who said, you can not solve a problem with the same level of thinking that created it. From stunned pain, shock and anger, the instinctive response is retaliation. The first person I talked with today, upon hearing the news, spoke of hoping the President would threaten a nuclear attack. This would clearly be the end of life as we know it.

Later, as I listened to reports on radio, I was struck once again by how rapidly people always pull together in an emergency to help one another. Tragedy is a great leveler. We all do need to come together, not to fight a common enemy (which is within) but to begin creating the Global Community we've been inching towards for decades. It's a spiritual emergency, as we emerge from the cocoon of complacency, the old paradigm, into a courageous new world.

We must now choose to go beyond the old, reptilian, limbic brain (the same impulse that drives materialism, separation, self-interest, and misuse of power) into the higher realms of consciousness, where love, wisdom and power are synthesized into service. This is a test of the highest order. It's not about who's at fault, who orchestrated the attacks, or whether we should now place sanctions against the Middle East or other groups. It's about recognizing this attack for what it is: a colossal wake-up call.

This event is a volcanic eruption, and in hindsight, the rumblings many of us have been experiencing the past few weeks presaged it. Several players on the path have been sharing stories of total strangers (as well as of acquaintances and friends) suddenly, savagely and inexplicably dumping truckloads of mental trash on them. Everyone has been feeling "the quickening" of these end times, but, since we're at different stages in our growth, those who have no context for what they're experiencing also don't know what to do with these volatile energies. The anger's been leaking out, and finally, here's the explosion.

It is, in a very real sense, a planetary birth process. Something old has to die in order for the new to emerge. Please understand, I am not in the least condoning the tremendous loss of lives or the tragedy itself, yet I do feel that some major catastrophe to serve as a worldwide summons to awareness was cued to occur. It also took place on a Tuesday, which correlates astrologically with Mars, the God of war. We are all learning how to transform the war within ourselves into spiritual warriorhood.

It is interesting that the attack on the Pentagon made it impossible for U.S. officials to meet in the Department of Defense, the War Room. Our old defenses have been dismantled, big time and instantly.

Consider, too, that the Pentagon is a five-sided structure. There's a lot of power in five, which configures a star. The number five, as the center of the Native American medicine wheel, signifies the place of transformational possibilities. Five symbolizes access to the Spirit world in the Mayan tradition. It is a unifying element in Tibetan culture. The Greeks called the fifth element quinta essentia, the pure and concentrated essence, or invisible connector that allows earth, fire, water and air to communicate. Five is, cross-culturally, a centering and balancing element. Think of the alchemical phoenix that could arise from this apparent tragedy...

The 13th century Sufi mystic Rumi wrote, "Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and right doing, there's a field. I'll meet you there." This is the field of higher mind, of creative possibility, of the One Love. The moment is now. This is a call to conscious unity. Sisters and Brothers of the Light, please join me.

The 51% Solution

I've been struggling with some internal demons lately, feeling a huge disparity between the woman I am in cyberspace and how I come across in 3-D. Some days it takes tremendous effort to continue plodding forward as a spiritual servant.

So it was a relief and a remedy to receive Patricia Cota-Robles' latest missive, reminding us that we need only attain a "critical mass" of 51% in order to empower a shift in consciousness. She says,

"When empowering a vision or thoughtform, the moment 51 percent of our energy, vibration and consciousness is in alignment with our vision, it reaches critical mass, and nothing can stop it from manifesting. The problem is that we never know just when we are going to reach that magical moment of critical mass. There are often no outer-world signs, and it may even look as if we are very far away from that instant of transformation.

"That is when we usually feel our efforts are failing, and we give up. Sometimes we may be just a breath away from reaching critical mass, but we don't realize that, so we get discouraged and stop working to reach our goals. Then we end up never manifesting our visions.

Snakes are said to shed their skins at Midsummer.
Shadow stuff comes up for clearing now, this is how:

* Clockwise movement or whirling to clear psychic cobwebs, strengthen connection between divine spirit and heart of the world.
* Focusing on the light over your head, your soul star, while breathing deeply and visualizing a wish, dream, ideal.
* Stretching with extended breath to release stuck physical energy and clear psychic channels.
* Free form dancing, surrendering to spirit (after clockwise turning).
* Swimming, full body immersion in water for emotional clearing.
* Leaping a fire or candle flame while bringing to mind what needs to be let go.

PSYCHIC WEEDING

* Whatever needs to be released from self or society comes up each year at Summer Solstice/Midsummer, and in the noon hour each day.
* Country people favor this time (June 21-25) for weeding gardens, as this is when vital energy is most up and out of the roots.
* Midsummer is also the best time for "weeding" undesirable psychic patterns, as little energy remains in our subconscious roots.
* Bad habits can more easily be eliminated and emotional attachments more readily broken at this turning time of the year.

We knew this year would be a flume ride, but thankfully, we're about to surf the waves for awhile instead of continuing to get slam-dunked. Astrologer Mark Krueger, who has a whimsical way with words, says that as of this week, "The trudge through the sludge is lifting. You can get on with your life in a more direct way. The world will respond more in alignment with you now. Easy going if you please.

"Plan and act now. Be intentional and serendipity comes your way. Snuggle rather than struggle. Giggle with the gaggles. Hop on Pop. Skip to your new my darlin'. Goodness gracious glory be."

Ch-ch-ch-changes!

Colleen Marshall, of Planetary Activation Organization, reminds us that the changes we're experiencing are affecting all life forms on Earth, including our pets. She counsels:

"This new state of being requires that we physically, mentally and emotionally let go of third dimensional concepts. The progression through changes compels us to release relationships, jobs, careers, homes, possessions and so on, if they are unable to support our new way of being. Is it any wonder that there is a great deal of anxiety and fear being felt because these changes are already in progress, even though most people are not conscious of it?"

Here's the latest summary of what to expect, or what you (or your cat or dog) may already be living into physiologically:

* Flu-like symptoms: high temperatures, sweating, aching bones and joints, etc.
* Severe or migraine headaches.
* Occasional diarrhea.
* Occasional runny nose, with sneezing which lasts 24 hours and is not a cold or hayfever.
* Dizziness, ringing in the ears.
* Heart palpitations.
* Whole body vibration - especially at night, when you're relaxed.
* Intense muscle spasms - plus pain in the body, often the back.
* Tingling in arms, hands, legs or feet.
* Loss of muscular power in your hands, caused by changes in circulation.
* Occasional breathing difficulties - and/or stronger or louder breathing when relaxed.
* Feeling tired - or exhausted from minor exertion.
* Wanting to sleep - longer and more often than normal.
* Toe nails and hair growing quicker than normal.
* Bouts of depression for no real reason.

And finally, you may delve into the past and examine relationships, gaining new clarity on personal issues and feeling a huge purge of tension, along with anxiety and high stress levels.

If you're feeling panicked and want to rush off to your health practitioner, be aware that they're likely to find nothing "wrong" with you. Marshall's RECOMMENDED RELIEF REMEDIES for the above are what a good holistic healer would suggest as well:

* Go with the flow, don't fight it.
* If you feel tired or exhausted, rest and get plenty of sleep.
* Drink lots of water as you are detoxifying and dehydrating quicker than usual.
* To relieve emotional tension and stress levels try valerian.
* Fenugreek relieves stress on the lymphatic system and helps the detoxification.
* To relieve muscle spasm try mud baths or a long, hot soak in a bath to which you add a cup of Epsom salts or sea salt. Do this daily.
* Apple cider vinegar baths aid emotional detoxification.

"Recognize that heart palpitations or breathing difficulties are the heart chakra or throat chakra unblocking, and these symptoms are temporary. You aren't dying, just changing! However, seek medical guidance if you are unsure. If you don't know where to buy valerian or fenugreek, try a health food store or better still, simply say the name in your head when you need relief. All healing energies are transmitted via the sound of the name and are just as effective said in the mind or aloud, as in physically taking them. Try it and see. Ask your angel guides to help relieve any pain. They are just waiting to be asked! Most symptoms seem to last a couple of weeks, then clear up. Some symptoms may recur from time to time.

"These changes are not necessarily being experienced by everyone concurrently. A very small percentage of adults have already completed the entire change into crystalline form and now embody 1,024 strands of DNA. One report is of a woman who has grown 3 inches taller and a foot size larger. All children under the age of seven have also now completed the change, or will shortly do so. Babies born in the past two years have all been born with the full set of DNA."

In Tune With the Moon, and The Star That You Are

I've been following a "natural time" calendar based on earth cycles for a decade now. This modern-day evolution of the 260-day Mayan Calendar known as the Tzol'kin, coupled with an ancient lunar calendar used throughout the world for millennia, has been a grand adventure in attuning to my inner rhythms—and an inspiration to live more instinctually every day.

Li Walter, who's devised her own calendar rooted in both traditions, reminds us that we're now in the Moon of Integration, in which our question is, "How can I dedicate myself to all that lives?" "Since this has been a 12 Storm Year, a stormy year in which we've been engaged in learning to live in the process of continual creative transformation, this Moon 12 of Integration is all the more important as we now have the opportunity to crystallize into a new, more complex form."

Treading Lightly On The Balance Beam

Years ago, when I was training to be a speaker with Lee Glickstein, creator of Speaking Circles International, I remember he spoke of a painting on a colleague's office wall that he'd always admired from across the desk, which showed someone balancing on a tightrope. What incredible focus and skill, Lee thought. Much later, he had an opportunity to observe the painting close up, and was astonished at what he saw. The person was balancing not on a tightrope...but on a beam of light.

Lightworkers would do well to bear this teaching in mind in upcoming weeks, as we're being asked to help create balance and stability for the Earth and her evolving inhabitants as new energies continue to pour in. Archangel Michael asks us to "actively assist the process of transformation," as we move toward Summer Solstice. On June 21st and 22nd, there will be a powerful alignment of planetary energies in the solar system that will "create maximum disturbance and tension in the cosmic, solar and planetary fields." This will affect everyone's mental and emotional bodies.

The good news is that this moment also marks a turning point. Michael says, "This process began in 1998, when the first Crystal Children began to trigger the ascension process in those adults who were ready to form the first wave. That was seven years ago. There is another seven-year cycle to go before you reach the completion of this birthing cycle in 2012.

"Know, dearest ones, that this is a key moment, when you are asked to participate fully in the co-creation of the New Earth. And know too, that this is indeed a turning point. There are enough awakened and active first and second wave Lightworkers to make a real difference to the planet now, and in the years to come. Take your power and begin to be what you are: stewards of planetary peace and stability."

Health Tips for Effortless Ascension

I've been waking famished beyond belief in recent days, wondering if I had parasites again (one symptom is constant hunger). I've also been tired and irritable, sometimes shivery, but chalked that up to travel, cold and wet weather, and loss of sleep.

Ha! Once again, it's only ascension. Karen Bishop restores my faith in the innate wisdom of my 3rd dimensional self as it shifts and stretches to accommodate the latest energetic download. She says, "Currently, many of us are feeling the 'dropping body density' phase.

"It involves strong cravings for protein with a need to eat frequently (for me, it is usually every two hours), as we are requiring an unusual amount of fuel for this 'restructuring' process. Feeling dizzy, weak and faint are signs that you are needing much more fuel than you normally would, and protein is the main staple that is required here.

"Fatigue can also play a part during this particular phase, and at times, this need for extra fuel and rest can last for many weeks. It just depends upon how far you have come with your own ascension process. The farther along you are, the less these 'shifts' will affect you, as you are much more in alignment with the higher dimensions.

"Helpful tips:

* As always, drink plenty of water and get IN the water (preferably salt water).
* Eat lots of protein, and eat many small meals throughout the day.
* Rest.
* Put yourself first, and know that the Universe will follow your lead.
* If you are feeling lost or confused, get involved with some mindless activities with others. Try and 'ignore' your process as it will continue whether you are involved or not.
* Spend time with the animals or our little ones. I played with some kittens the other day and it was glorious!
* Be out in the sun or lie on the ground. Heaven and Earth are great conduits for balancing, healing and rejuvenating."

Lights, Planets, Action!

It's time for a heavenly Harmonic Concordance redux. Mars and Uranus again dance together, stirring up a grand desire for freedom, movement, change. This juicy conversation begins on May 15th, one of many intriguing celestial conjunctions with Christian holy days taking place in 2005.

May 15th is Pentecost. This day, writes Johnny Mirehiel, commemorates "the descent of the Holy Ghost upon the Apostles, symbolic of the Love of that Spirit. It was then that there appeared unto them 'cloven tongues as of fire' and they became different and Spirit infused people who had experienced a renewal of Faith. That this Pentecost coincides with an astrological alignment that has aspects to the Harmonic Concordance chart, which so closely mirrors its spiritual significance, seems very appropriate. For this is truly a moment in which we may choose to open to the voice of the Holy Spirit, to act on Its message and to do so as an expression of our Unconditional Love."

Money MATTERS

For some, the pursuit of riches means everything—they look at wealth as a means of determining their own value and worth in the world. For others, money is a means to have and do what they have always wanted—it represents freedom. There are also people who claim that they aren't interested in money and look down on anyone who wants to profit from their time and talents—but realize that in the right hands money can make miracles happen. The bottom line is, money matters. Even though I have covered this topic in one of my previous books and have written articles about money matters in the past, it's worth talking about again. Only this time, I will go under the assumption that we all could use a little more money in our lives. That's why the focus of this article will be exercises to develop both a money mindset and some action steps that will help you make the second half of 2005 your best year yet—financially.

Making more money starts in your head. Some people don't earn what they are worth because they don't believe they deserve to and/or that there isn't enough money to go around or because they are complacent and aren't aware of the opportunities that exist to increase their income. Let's look at some simple suggestions to increase our wealth.

1. Get more. Take your salary from 2004 and double it. Write down or draw how that would feel and what making that much money would mean to you. Next, double that income amount and write what life would be like with four times the money coming in. Keep doubling your income and writing your responses until the income amount feels right.

2. Get real. In the middle of a page write down what you would like to earn in a year. Now draw arrows leading into that number with the possible sources of revenue needed to generate it. Open your mind to the possibilities. Use what ever method works to find money-making opportunities. Make a list of possibilities, create a mind map, emulate someone else's success, review old invoices and bank statements, tear out ideas from magazines, free write, talk to others, talk to yourself, draw, whatever you need to do to come up with ways to make more money. (See examples listed below in "Action Item I".)

3. Get emotional. Instead of dealing with numbers this time, let's look at how it would feel and the freedom this new amount of money coming into your life would mean for you and those around you. If you made (insert your ideal income here) what would you do? What would you buy? Where would you go? How would you feel about yourself? Your life? How would you be treated by others? What would you NOT have to do any longer?

4. Get going. One easy first step to having more money is to make better financial decisions on a daily basis. What is something you could cut out or cut down on to save money today? What is something you could do or sell to earn more money today?

5. Get it together. There are several things you can do to become better at making and managing money. One is to become more aware of where your money goes. Keeping track of what you spend each day (every dime) is an eye-opener. Another thing to try is to pay for items with cash for a week or two so you get in touch with how much you are truly spending. Another thing to do is to put up pictures of the things you will do, buy, enjoy when you have more money. Use these as motivators and put them up where you will see them (as a screensaver, in your wallet or on a bulletin board). On a stack of index cards write down everything you do (skills, talents, assets) that others would pay for. Put one item per card and start doing something with these. Make a list of things you can do to increase your worth—enter and win an award, team up with someone more successful, learn a new skill—and start raising your rates. Create an affirmation that reads something like this: "There is more than enough money to go around and I will earn (how much?) more than I am earning now? I am smart, talented and I deserve to be paid well." Read about and surround yourself with people who are wealthy and wise about money-matters. Learn all you can from them.

In a lot of ways, finding creative means to have what you want without having to pay full price for it is almost the same as making more money. Try this.

* Get organized so you don't buy duplicates and have the receipts to return unwanted items
* Rent or borrow before you buy to be sure you want a high-ticket item
* When appropriate, ask for a discount when you purchase a product or service
* Take better care of your stuff so it lasts longer
* Be a smart shopper and buy on sale or travel off-season
* Be more creative rather than spend big bucks on dates, gifts or parties
* Simplify
* Trade or barter rather than buy
* Cut back on bad habits
* Use coupons
* Get out of debt

Saying and Living What You Meme

This fascinating article, "The Future of the Human Race Revealed," came to me from the Light Party, with a link to Infinite Being. However, as I could not locate the article anywhere on that site, I'm republishing it here in its entirety. Enjoy!

"In the ground-breaking book, "Spiral Dynamics" by Don Beck and Christopher Cowan, 'memes' are defined as the social equivalent of genes. Memes are cultural units of information which self-replicate from mind to mind on a vast scale, appearing within society as new trends of thought.

The progression of memes reflects the development of society from its primitive beginnings up to the present. So far, eight different memes have been identified and analyzed. Their characteristics are:

Meme 1. Basic, personal survival. The most primitive motivation of just staying alive.

Meme 2. Clan survival. Tribal and family bonding along with superstition-filled attempts to understand the powers of nature which threaten to overpower them.

Meme 3. Courage, survival of the fittest. Mastering the environment, fighting to break free of constraints. Sensing many gods, all of which are models of power. This is where individuals first find their personal power but, seeing reality through a worldview of separation and limited resources, compete against each other in attempts to gain advantage. As a meme which is short on thought and long on passion, societies in this stage quickly fragment into territorial, feudal-type communities surrounded by competing, enemy communities.

Meme 4. Finding order and purpose in life. Obeying authority, regulations and externally imposed rules of behavior and morality. Sacrificing the self to a greater cause for a deferred reward. Dedicating allegiance to one supreme God. This social meme started to spread within civilization 5,000 years ago. Eventually, alliances arose between large-scale feudal structures and those who wished to develop extensive religious power.

Meme 5. Achievement, striving to succeed. Fighting to win, beating the competition, achieving independence. This meme started to spread significantly in the 1700s. It was made possible by the collapse of feudalism and also a sense of increased personal empowerment, which was a side-effect of the Protestant Reformation. It gained particular strength with the founding of the United States, whose Constitution and Bill of Rights intentionally empowered and protected individual liberty.

Meme 6. Community and caring. Unconditional love, accepting others as they are, seeing the value of service to others, the beginnings of spiritual understanding. Freedom of the spirit from greed, dogma, contention and other distractions from spiritual centeredness. This meme started to spread in the mid-1800s.

Professor Clare Graves, the originator of this branch of social science, saw the first set of six memes as a first tier of human development. He called the transition of the human race into meme number seven a momentous leap, an entry into an entirely new set of memes, a new tier of consciousness. With this new tier comes freedom from all of the fears of the prior memes, and, finally, the freedom for human cognition to focus upon its possibilities in the world.

As more and more people shift into the second tier of memes, the underpinnings of society become spiritual rather than materialistic. The second tier is expansive rather than self-serving or merely survival-oriented. Service to the world community, to the planet as a whole, becomes the inspiration as people activate these higher memes of consciousness.

"Love and light" is not just a greeting to wish someone well, it is the byline of the emerging New Reality. The future of the human race is a bright one. It is love and light.

Meme 7. Responsible freedom. Flexible flow, adapting to a world full of change. Big-picture views, the discovery of self-accountable, personal freedom. This meme started to spread after the global defeat of fascism in World War II. While most people started to look forward to the renewed chance to create personal prosperity, the beat generation of the 1950s emerged with its questioning of materialistic culture. This emerging movement examined Eastern philosophy, such as Zen Buddhism, in a search for answers to the mysteries of life.

In meme number seven, people act from an inner-directed core. Values come from fundamental, natural law, meaning that human rights are perceived as fundamental due to the fact that you exist.

By nature, seventh meme thinkers are self-accountable and independent within reason. They are honest in their communications and do not spend time on the rules of formality, unless they are important to those present. Seventh meme thinkers like technology for what it can do to improve life, and they value knowledge and competency above rank or status.

They enjoy the pleasures of life, without being bound by any of them, and pursue activities that express their inner joy. External fashions and trends have no bearing upon these choices. They have emotional control, meaning that they still express emotions, but these expressions are appropriate, and not uncontrolled outbursts.

This is a powerful meme in promoting the exploration of the greater possibilities of life. It creates information networks and networks of people which easily adapt to changing needs.

Seventh meme thinkers are concerned with the endangered world environment and want to restore viability and ecological order. Their purpose for living includes being independent within reason, knowledgeable as much as possible, and caring for others within practical limits. They are accountable to themselves as responsible individuals, yet embrace their community of associates. Rather than striving to have things or to achieve things, they prefer to pursue personal development along a pathway that is natural to them.

They can interact with people of the first six memes and speak their psychological language. They respect others' world views and unique habits, customs and cultures, even if they don't necessarily agree with them.

This meme brings a high sense of self-esteem based upon information as much as emotion. It brings an enlightened self-acceptance which acknowledges and accepts their own shortcomings and faults as mere stages along the way to acquiring more skills.

Meme 8. Holistic, global view. Spiritual awareness, learning through simply being as well as doing. Becoming conscious of the superconscious, trusting intuition. This meme started to spread in the cultural and spiritual awakening of the mid-1960s. Those seekers who found this pattern of thinking launched a whole new movement of spiritual awareness. This spiritual renaissance has the potential to develop the awareness to carry humanity through the Shift and into the New Reality.

This meme has a global village outlook, and seeks projects and solutions that will work well for the whole planet. It contains the vision to bring order out of chaos.

Because of the incredible power of the second tier of memes, these will accelerate the transformation of the world as they become more and more widely adopted.

Meme 9. The mystery meme. The authors of Spiral Dynamics have identified, as of the 1990s, meme number nine. They call this the Coral meme, but they have not observed it in large quantities of people, so they cannot yet summarize its characteristics.

However, using basic metaphysical principles, you can predict exactly what meme number nine will become."

A Buddha-Full Eclipse

April 24th heralds a full moon eclipse on a day known as Wesak, the Buddha's birthday. Astrologer Ingrid Jeffries (Ingrid@ijnorthstar@fastmailfm) offers insight into what this might mean for us, individually and collectively:

"This Sunday's Full Moon eclipse with the Sun in Taurus and the Moon in Scorpio is the third consecutive year of eclipse emphasis in these two signs, indicating the planetary and personal need to 'get real' about resources and values. Eclipses create an intensity of awareness around the themes and issues of particular signs. 2005 is the last year the resource signs, Taurus/Scorpio, will be eclipsed until 2013. Wherever you celebrate life on our planet today, the 35th anniversary of Earth Day is as much about our metaphysical environment as our physical one.

You already know 2005 is the wildest energetic ride yet, as we awaken en masse and surf into the new. April's been an amazing month thus far, a "gateway" opportunity between two eclipses (solar on April 8th, with the new moon in Aries; lunar upcoming on the 24th, Wesak or the Buddha full (beautiful) moon.) During this period we were Pope-less for a time, creating an opening for the Divine Feminine to penetrate the Church consciousness and begin to bring back the balance that has been so long suppressed.

Astrologically speaking, this shift in consciousness is possible because "Pluto, the engine of transformation, is now conjunct the Galactic Center. The powerful transmissions from the Galactic Center or the Divine Mother are being amplified through Pluto, so that change is unavoidable and rapid.

"Pluto will soon go retrograde, however, and will not actually cross the Galactic Center until early 2006 and then late 2007. At these times the shifts you will see will be magnificent. A Penny Saved Is...Wealth On The Way!

As I was buying a telephone cord adapter in the hardware store earlier, I handed the clerk two extra pennies, mentioning offhandedly, "They're not worth anything anyway." Was I wrong!

She proceeded to tell me about a friend of hers named Penny. When Penny was born, her parents began saving their pennies. They asked friends to give them their pennies, too, and, since many people hold the view I expressed above, they were happy to be rid of the "worthless" copper cluttering up their pockets and purses.

On Penny's 16th birthday, her parents surprised her with a brand-new car, purchased with the pennies they'd saved over the previous sixteen years. And, the store clerk hastened to assure me, "It was a really nice car, too, not the cheapest one available."

What a teaching in the value of pennies—and perseverance. Penny's parents are a living example of what it means to use good cent$!

The Eye of God

On Friday, as I was entering an all-weekend workshop called Eliminating Interference Patterns of DNA, a friend e-mailed me the "Eye of God" photo taken by the Hubble telescope in 2003. I'd never seen it before, and the image made me want to weep; it felt like a benediction of Universal Love.

Is it a coincidence that this weekend's vibrational healing work focused on unconditional love as one of the major keys to accessing universal energies for transformation?

And is it a coincidence that during today's partnered medical intuitive readings, the woman "reading" me saw an eye in my heart?

The God's Eye photo is said to come from a Sun-like star at the end of its life. Maybe when a star dies, we are finally able to see the Love that it was emitting all along. Our own Sun is still burning brightly, helping us to see the God/Goddess in each other right now.

Mental Health Alert: Cracks In The Cosmic Mirror

Since my own awakening, I find people often use me as a projection screen for their movie. Even knowing this, it continually catches me unprepared. This last week, however, has sent shock waves rippling through my open heart: two people (staff at a healing center, no less) have attacked me without apparent cause--save, perhaps, that who I am and how I express my truth has rocked their world just slightly more than is comfortable.

It was therefore comforting to log on to Karen's latest report for What's Up On Planet Earth, and see that what I (and they) are experiencing is just another aspect of our planetary shift-in-process.

"You may have recently found inappropriate boundary behavior with people around you, situations regarding feelings of vulnerability regarding boundaries, or quite simply a sense that there is much commotion or presence in your space even if unseen at the physical level.

"Just as we needed to use proper respect, structure and protocol in regard to boundaries in 3D, the same most certainly holds true in the higher dimensions as well.

"And as many are new to these new energies and this now deeper and immediate connection with others in higher ways (telepathy, connecting at higher levels, and communication without words, etc.), we can easily find ourselves in the space of others even if simply through thought or intention, and must now become mindful of a new way of operating and being in this rapidly unfolding New World."

And, of course--how could I have forgotten?--any area of our beings not yet light-filled will show up as fear. When we are afraid, we lash out at what feels like the target. I let out a huge sigh of relief as I remembered, and blessed both women on their journey.

"If you look in the mirror and do not know who you are or feel as if someone is talking and it is not you, you are not alone. You are simply strengthening your connection to your higher self. You may also not feel like doing a thing and not be able to concentrate, as a sense of floating around aimlessly is a result of a much less dense environment.

"But there are certainly upsides as well. In an instant now, we can shift gears and place ourselves in an incredibly good space of our choice. As we learn to navigate in these higher realms, we will find that our intention is much more powerful and immediate than ever before."

Keep those cosmic surfboards well waxed, fellow travelers, and let's ride these new energy waves with release and joy, "straight on till Morning," as Peter Pan described Home.

After Shocks: Soulquakes and Synchronicity

The first Indonesian earthquake rocked the world the day after Christmas. The second, measuring nearly as high on the Richter scale but not generating another tsunami, occurred the day after Easter.

Two cataclysmic events take place on the days following the two biggest holidays on the Christian calendar, having to do with the birth and ascension of one of the great world teachers of the past few millennia. Is it "just" a coincidence, or is there a cosmic message for us here?

Sandie Sedgbeer, editor of PlanetLightworker.com, says in her April Letter from the Editor that something significant's going on. For one thing, this second quake did not result in another devastating tsunami.

"According to many people I know who are especially sensitive to such things, the difference in energy in the week after Easter has been palpable. Several have even been experiencing what they liken to an “internal tsunami’ of emotional upheaval. Now I can’t comment on others’ personal experiences, but it certainly gets my attention when something occurs to the Earth in one area, and thousands of miles away people start experiencing internal energetic echoes."

If we understand the truth that All is One and "as above, so below," then it makes perfect sense: Gaia expressed the emotion for us last time, and humans felt it in their beings this time, so there was no need for an outward expression of the same energy.

We are rising. It is the moment of the Quickening, and we are. We're also in a Mercury retrograde in fire (Aries). Fire and water are perfect complements, action/emotion, solar/lunar polarities. We're healing all the rifts in our collective psyche and soma, and no matter how strange it might look, we're, as Sandie observes, totally in tune with the Universe.

Financial Cholesterol

This brilliant juxtaposition of the fiscal and physical comes from money psychologist Maria Nemeth, Ph.D. I'm reading her book, "The Energy of Money," while I rejuvenate at Wellspring Renewal Center in verdant Mendocino County, CA. Her book is the perfect resource to have found me at this "center for the renewal of the Human Spirit," as the Wellspring brochure states. One definition of prosperity is "well being"!

Nemeth counsels that in order to become "conscious conduits of energy," we need to plug our money leaks and clean up our "money sludge". Money blocks typically take the form of old, worn-out modes of thinking that no longer apply in our lives, and/or incomplete money business: unkept financial promises such as outstanding loans and other debts, lack of appropriate savings and investments, insurance, etc.

Too much of this "financial cholesterol" clogs our fiscal arteries. Nemeth recommends taking inventory of your money status (beginning by balancing your checkbook!), and then taking "authentic action" to clear your money drain so you can become the affluent channel you desire and deserve to be.

Affluence literally means, "to flow abundance." When your pipeline's clear, money can flow in. See my article "Money, Sex and Power for more details.

Just Another Day In Paradox

I've often written about the importance of learning to hold the "both/and", rather than an either/or perspective. Never has this ability to surrender into apparent paradox been more crucial than in the heady year 2005, as we open to greater levels of awareness and our Divinity than ever before.

Isaac George, who channels Archangels Ariel and Michael, has brought through a powerful transmission for Passion Week. Here's an excerpt from Ariel:

"In the balance of all that you are, all that you have experienced, all of your memories, and everything else that makes up what you refer to as your 'reality', it is paramount to behold the most basic of realizations. You are neither in control, nor are you out of control. It is time to redefine what you perceive as being a Master and also of being Hu-man. It is essential to collapse your identities into a single beingness, to reduce your reactive experience within the shared realities on this Planet, and it will serve you to take a fuller responsibility for accepting what you can change and also what you cannot. Health Alert: Symptoms of Your 6th Dimensional Upgrade

Now that the Paradise grid has anchored Earth in the 5th dimension, the word from our celestial counselors is, we can expand our consciousness into the 6th dimension.

The Ides of March: Health Hazard or Opportunity?

Five centuries after Shakespeare's astrologer counseled Julius Caesar, "Beware the Ides of March!", we still shudder at the thought that March 15th might harbor some hidden hazard.

But it's just another day, albeit one that was part of a convoluted calendar. In ancient Rome, each month had an "ides." In March, May, July and October, the ides fell on the 15th. In the other eight months, however, the ides fell on the 13th.

Maybe Julius meant to follow the advice, but got his months mixed up. Or maybe he just didn't place much store in prophecy.

In recent history, the rock group, The Ides of March had a hit with the upbeat tune, "Vehicle." The lead singer went on to superstardom as the founder of Survivor. Yet the Ides continued to play and record. The group's now been together, with all the original band members, for 40 years.

Mythologically speaking, the ides of March can transport you where you most need to go. If you pay attention and pay your dues, you won't pay the Piper--and you may hit pay dirt.

Solar Flares and Emotional Eruptions

Been flying off the handle a bit lately? Relax. It's only ascension.

A lengthy channeling from the Ashtar Command, excerpted below, reminds us that what is happening in the Heavens, on Earth and in our own beings is all cosmic mirroring. Each of us is a Sun, carrying the Light of the Great Central Sun within us, and "being the bridge of this Light between you and the Earth, just as your solar sun is the bridge between the Central Sun and your solar sun." As above, so below.

Ashtar counsels, "As you witness the solar sun eruptions and flares, look at the other 'suns' about you and you will see these same flare-ups and eruptions taking place. As you witness this mirror effect, look below you and you will also see all kinds of erratic behavior and eruptions taking place upon the Earth.

"Ah, but I would ask you…is the planet reflecting YOUR behavior, which in turn is affecting the behavior of your solar sun, OR is it beginning at the Great Central Sun level and having a ripple effect down into the Earth? Who is mirroring whom? Well, I will tell you now that it is indeed a two-way mirror, for All is One and each reflects the Whole.

"You must keep the energy within your physical, mental and emotional bodies moving, balanced, and in a state of 'flow'. You do this through the releasing of energies which no longer serve your highest good. And we know you know this, but perhaps it is time for a little reminder, yes?

"As you do these releases, know that your actions will be mirrored by the planetary body. It is through these necessary releases, which manifest on every level, that the entire universe is rising in Light frequency back to the One.

I came across this timeless truth in a book of Ann Landers' old newspaper columns. It's a little corny but a good reminder:

"You Can Bank On It"

Imagine you had a bank that each morning credited your account with $1,440 - with one condition: whatever part of the $1,440 you had failed to use during the day would be erased from your account, and no balance would be carried over.

What would you do? You'd draw out every cent every day and use it to your best advantage.

Well, you do have such a bank, and its name is Time. Every morning, this bank credits you with 1,440 minutes. And it writes off as lost forever whatever portion you have failed to invest to good purpose.

UnWired and More Tired? How WIFI Impacts Our Health

WIFI (wireless fidelity) is a grand leap forward in portable communication. But the electromagnetic output may be overloading human circuits to the point of illness.

Sexual Healing Wisdom: Feel Frisky? Transmute It To Fortune!

Here's another take on What Sex Has To Do With It (see also 2/27/05): the stronger your sexual drive, the greater your achievement potential--and wealth capacity.

In "Think And Grow Rich," Napolean Hill writes, "The road to genius consists of the development, control, and use of sex, love, and romannce." He devotes an entire chapter to "The Mystery of Sex Transmutation." Now, in 1937, when this book was first published, information on transforming sexual energy through Chinese taoist techniques had not yet reached the West. But it isn't such a great mystery.

What Hill suggests is that, instead of acting upon all sexual desire with the lower chakras, we choose to raise this energy to the heart, mind (third-eye) and crown, allowing our passion to fire our imagination and channel creative ideas. Inventors, leaders, writers, and the fabulously successful and wealthy in all fields have done this down through the ages.

Lends a whole new meaning to the phrase, "Be fruitful and multiply," doesn't it?

Portal to Paradise Opens March 5th

Like many others, I've been feeling that 2005 would be an amazing year in ways I couldn't clearly articulate. Now the information is streaming in, and it's a cosmic cause for global celebration.

Beginning March 5th and centered initially in Hawaii, an energetic download known as the "Paradise" frequency will be anchored and activated in Earth's grid system. This Stargate will be followed by two more activations in May, when the major Christian and Buddhist spiritual holy days, Easter and Wesak, take place. The third Stargate coincides with the heliacal rising of the Dog Star, Sirius, from July 26th - August 8th.

The Paradise vibration of Oneness, Love, Joy and Abundance will express in our lives as:

* Renewed energy and direction to focus on our creative passions. We will feel increasingly supported by this new energy as we explore our potential as 5th Dimensional creators.

* Deeper and more meaningful relationships, as we explore the energies of the new Soulmate unions. We will need to release old, outmoded relationships to make way for new and more balanced ones.

White Fire of Desire

In "Think And Grow Rich," Napoleon Hill bluntly asserts, "You can never have riches in great quantities unless you can work yourself into a white heat of desire for money, and actually believe you will possess it."

And in "A Little Book of Aloha: Spirit of Healing," a Hawaiian healer takes this truth a step futher: "White heat is pure heat. If you are pure in your mind of what you want to do, then you will be on fire."

White heat is the sacred fire of faith -- in yourself, in your dream, in your ability to, as Hall says, "conceive, believe and achieve."

A radiant 60-year-old woman I met last week, who looks much younger than her chronological years, is successful in all aspects of her life: love relationship, business, health, home, finances, etc. When I asked her for the secret to her happiness, she responded, "I'm living inside the commitment to my gratification."

Wow. What an inspiring, radical image that evoked for me.

This type of "self"-centered behavior is a blessing for all, because a happy person spreads joy and possibility by her very presence. She's white heat in action.

Sourcery Or Scare City?

Are you a Sourcerer or Sourceress? That is, are you able to re-source yourself from life's well? Can you be rather than do, when your essence is asking for peace? If so, you're truly living in your power--which is potent, practical magic for these transformational times.

Or are you--like many of us on life's journey--living in "Scare City"? This vivid phrase was coined by teammate Susan Pond, who says coming from a scarcity consciousness makes it sound, "like there's an actual place where people who are fearful live!"

I've personally spent a lot of time exploring Scare City, and it's edifying as well as terrifying. Finally, I made the conscious choice to do the A-Bun-Dance, or, as I've come to call it, the A-Bunny-Dance (rabbits symbolize fertility and fruitfulness), and shake, rattle, enroll into prosperity mode. In a moment of inspiration, talking with Susan, I playfully suggested we rewrite the close of America's Pledge of Allegiance, to state, "…with prosperity and abundance for all!"

I invite you to reclaim your power as a magical being. Two films that speak to personal empowerment along these lines are: The Sorceress, by Andre Michel (1955), in French with English subtitles, and Resurrection starring Ellen Burstyn, a Daniel Petrie release (1980). Both are available on video.

My response to these films, viewed when I was deep into my own awakening in the early 1990s, was visceral. If you choose to rent them, I suggest you allow yourself to enter into a still place in order to best receive the gifts.
